THERAPY FOR TRAUMA, ADHD, ANXIETY, & MORE IN DETROIT, MI

YOU’VE TRIED EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF TO PUSH THROUGH, BUT…

You’re stuck spinning your wheels—and you’re starting to wonder if something is just wrong with you.

The normal demands of being alive often leave you completely overwhelmed, and you can’t imagine things feel this hard for everyone else. You keep looking around thinking “Other people seem to handle this stuff just fine… why can’t I?” It feels like you’re just getting whipped around by the winds of life, and there’s always something—problems at work, conflict in your relationships, barely keeping up the facade that you’re “fine”—that keeps you from ever feeling anything other than exhausted.

Maybe you’re here because you…

Have been through something painful or traumatic—like a bad relationship, betrayal, accident, violence, or abuse—and it’s affecting you in ways that feel uncontrollable.

Feel anxious and on-edge all the time, and don’t understand why you react so extremely to things that don’t seem to bother other people as much.

Have been to therapy before, gained insight into why you are the way you are, and learned the coping skills, but don’t actually feel any better in your day-to-day life.

Depend on overthinking and perfectionism to keep people from realizing how much you’re struggling—with ADHD, substance use, or something else.

Keep ending up in relationships that disappoint you, and either feel like you can’t trust anyone fully, or like you can’t help but fall into intense connections that burn out quickly.

THE GOOD NEWS IS

You’re not broken—and the problems you’re tired of battling can get better with the right approach.

We help you get to the root of what’s going on and actually start feeling better.

The struggles you’re dealing with now didn’t spring up out of nowhere. Everything we experience (especially in the early years) shapes how we feel, react, and move through our lives. So, if it seems like you’ve tried everything to break out of the patterns you’re stuck in without results, it’s probably because you’re only addressing what’s on the surface.

Here, we use evidence-based methods like EMDR to go deeper and heal what’s underneath those surface-level issues, so you can get unstuck and start moving forward. Through this work, our clients often tell us the results are noticeable: they feel lighter, more present, and like they’re finally in charge of their lives again.

NO MATTER WHAT LED YOU HERE,

WE HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP.

OUR SPECIALTIES

ADHD

Staying focused, following through, and keeping up with everyday life feel a lot harder for you than they seem to for other people. Therapy can help you make sense of what’s going on, work with your brain instead of against it, and build trust, confidence, and systems that actually work for you.

Anxiety

Your mind is going at a million miles a minute from the moment you wake up, and it feels like any little unexpected change or disruption can throw off your whole day. Therapy can help you figure out what’s driving your anxiety, learn to respond instead of react, and feel more sure of yourself as you move through life.

Depression

Some days, even basic things like getting out of bed, answering a text, or taking care of yourself can feel like too much. Therapy can help you understand why you’re stuck in shutdown mode, reconnect with yourself, and start feeling more present in your life again.

EMDR

Talking about what happened may have helped you understand it, but it doesn’t always help your nervous system get the message that it’s okay to move on. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (through eye movements or tapping on your own body) to help your brain process the stuck feelings and memories, so you can start feeling safer in the present.

Substance Use & Addiction

Maybe alcohol, drugs, or gambling have slowly become the only way you can feel joy, calm down, check out, or get through the day. Therapy can help you address and process what substances or other addictive activities are protecting you from, find different ways to cope that align with the kind of life you want to live, and make changes that last in the long run.

Trauma

Painful experiences from the past stay with us, and impact our ability to function, have healthy relationships, and take care of ourselves. Therapy can help you process what happened, understand how it’s affected you, and start feeling more like the “you” you want to be.

Life is hard enough.

Get matched with a therapist who can help.

We believe working with a therapist whose specialties align with your needs is the most important factor for success in therapy. We’ll analyze the information you provide and match you with the best fit therapist for you. And if we don’t have the right person, we’ll help you find them.

Become the person you want to be.

You’ll work with your therapist to get to the root of what’s going on and use evidence-based methods to heal it. Over time, you’ll notice longstanding patterns naturally begin to shift. Our goal is that you walk away from your time with us as the version of yourself you hoped therapy would help you become.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO KEEP FEELING POWERLESS IN YOUR OWN LIFE.

It’s time to get back in the driver’s seat and start moving forward.
